ModelScouts Says No To Fur
At ModelScouts we believe that fashion should be a fun and enjoyable part of life.
Fashion should not be cruel or hurt other living things in the name of style. With this in mind, ModelScouts.com supports a fur-free zone. We will never post photos of models wearing fur and encourage our members to become fur-free as well.
As a lifelong animal lover, one of ModelScouts Founder Vanessa Helmer’s first jobs was working behind the scenes at her local humane society. Vanessa witnessed first hand the needs of neglected and abused animals and understands how important it is to support the efforts of those who want to help make life better for all living creatures.
You can join ModelScouts in the fight to rescue and save animals in need by supporting these and other animal charities.
PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the world’s largest animal rights organisation. PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in the clothing trade, in laboratories, and in the entertainment industry.
Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Its mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas.
The World Society for the Protection of Animals mission is to tackle animal cruelty across the globe. They work directly with animals and with the people and organizations that can ensure animals are treated with respect and compassion. The WSPA brings about lasting change by helping people understand the critical importance of good animal welfare, encouraging nations to commit to animal-friendly practices, and building the scientific case for the better treatment of animals.
THE HUMANE SOCIETY
The Humane Society of the United States is the nation’s largest and most effective animal protection organization, backed by 11 million Americans. The HSUS helps animals by advocating for better laws to protect animals; conducting campaigns to reform industries; providing animal rescue and emergency response; investigating cases of animal cruelty; and caring for animals through our sanctuaries and wildlife rehabilitation centers, emergency shelters and clinics.
